OK, not a nice subject to discuss, but I developed piles after having my DD a couple of years ago. Since then I've had the little buggers them on and off and always managed to sort them out with the occasional suppository.

I'm now pregnant again and suffering badly! I'm only about 8 weeks and am getting constipation, despite eating healthily, drinking lots of water etc. My piles have flared up quite badly and I've been using Germoloids cream, but only occasionally as I'm not totally sure whether it's safe. From reading around, it seems it is, but I'm a bit cautious nonetheless.

Does anyone know of anything else I can try? I'm hesitant to try anything stronger such as the trusty suppositories and I know certain treatments are contraindicated. Any advice or tips gratefully received as I just can't sit down at the moment! Argh!
