Please come and hold my hand. just POAS and got "PREGNANT 3+ weeks"
Not planned, on the pill but had that horrific vomiting bug twice in the past month and stupidly didnt take extra precautions..
Have just told DP who is in shock but thinks he wants it. Have 2ds already who are nearly 3 and 4.6.
Argh! Don't know what to feel..kind of happy but shocked and scared. Dp is self employed and I'm a SAHM. We've just bought a house to move into..DH has been renovating it but its 2 bed and don't think there would be space for another person. Currently renting a house and was excited as we would finally own our own home. Now in a quandry..don't know how to feel.. argh!!!!!!!

Well, Congratulations!
It will take a few days or more to sink in. Even with my very planned and much wanted baby I was still in shock for awhile! Baby can fit in a draw if needs be, so don't worry about space just yet, if it is too small, start saving and move to larger place if this is possible? (Or any of the other options available to you, renting this house out .etc)

Practicalities now, do you have folic acid/vitamins? Good to start taking if you think you want to keep it. Also ring your GP to discuss options/counselling or book with MW.

You have time, so take a deep breath and perhaps write down your options feelings, if you feel this would help?

Aww congratulations Clara. Im currently pregnant with my first and it came as a total shock. I was on the pill, didn't miss one, and it still happend. It must have taken me a good 2 to get my head around it but as soon as I saw his little heart beat and the wiggly bean on the scan I fell in love :)

As far as space goes you will manage for as long as you need to with the baby in your room, a friend of mine has a 3 year old and they live in a 1 bedroom flat, he's not long moved out of their room and into space in the living room. It's not ideal but it works.

And congrats on getting on the property ladder Xmas Smile I'm sure everything will work out for you.

P.s I'm with you on the cheese and pate and wine
