5 weeks, had scan no heartbeat and bleeding around my womb. Terrified!

Hi all

I had an internal scan yesterday due to light bleeding Friday which was red then brown. The scanner said i'm nearly 6 weeks, she could see a foetus 4mm long a healthy sac and fluid but there is blood around my womb and no heartbeat she said you should see one now!

They want me to wait 2 weeks i begged them to scan me Friday which they are going to. They think i'm going to miscarry again (i had a M/C in July).

DH and myself do have 1 lovely DD who's 4 and desperately wanted a sibling.

The bleeding stopped Friday evening i have had no pain just feel pg.

I was also due on AF Friday and last month had a normal period and spotting two weeks ago!

Has anyone please got any advice or success stories please. I feel so alone.

No advice (sorry) but i did have bleeding and had healthy pregnancys, also had internal scan at 6 weeks. Keeping my fingers crossed for you xxxxx

I had a scan at nearly 6 weeks, with bleeding and no heartbeat. 10 days later, the heartbeat was there and despite heavy bleeding throughout the first trimester, the rest of the pregnancy went well and DD is now 6 weeks old!

I too had had a mc a couple of months before conceiving her. Did you have an erpc? I'm convinced that made my uterus wall prone to bleeding.

no i didn't have an erpc i had a natural mc. i pray a heartbeat will be seen Friday.

hi there there was a thread about this a week or so ago, someone had a scan with bleeding and there no hb (or it may have been so actual foetus seen i'm not sure). anyway tehre were lots of people who posted to say they had had bleeding and a problem with the first early scan but then it was all fine. try looking it up, i cant' remember what you should search for, so maybe just look through the thread titles from a week or so ago. :)

When I had my first scan at 6+2 the sonographer was very clear that in all likelihood we wouldn't see a heartbeat because it was still very early. By 7 weeks they expect to be able to see it but not necessarily earlier.

I hope your scan on Friday gives you better news and that the week passes quickly for you.

From what i've read on here and other sites it does sound quite promising but really don't want to get my hopes up. Still got no bleeding or pains and have lots of pg symptoms so that must be good right??

I cant get your hopes up Its great you saw a baby, but not so great that there was no HB and there is bleeding around your womb.
It really could go either way at the moment-try to keep calm as hard as that will be. Maybe you could arrange aprivate scan if Friday is too far away? The early reassurance scans are around £50.

Thankyou for being honest. It's so hard knowing it's either way as i'm trying not to get to stressed as everything may be ok but i'm really not getting my hopes up. roll on 2012.
