Hi all
27 weeks and over the last couple of developed horrendous pain in left buttock when walking. To the point where I am limping terribly and trying not to move. Doesn't hurt at all when sitting, standing or lying, just walking! Saw Osteopath this morning who thinks buttock muscles on the left are in spasm after spending too long compensating for twisting pelvis to the right. She worked on easing the muscles but wouldn't manipulate me because of the baby. She said it will ease off in a couple of days.

My worry is that it will just come back because she won't correct the twist in pelvis.

Has anyone been manipulated at this stage in pregnancy or got any tips to help it ease off quicker? It is bloody painful!

Thanks

Hx

Nope, but it might be worth your GP/MW referring you to a physio who can give you some exercises to help. Whilst the osteopath seems to have isolated the problem, you don't want it esculating into SPD...so this might be a good way to ward it off?

Helga- cant offer much in way of advice but was diagnosed with same issue at 17 weeks and
Now 34 weeks.

Exercises did seem to help until a couple of weeks ago- now only taking it easier and using a serola support belt.

I am desperate for any tips for relief too.
