my stomach feels very sore and painful - it feels like it is the tummy muscles rather than the womb inside. I didn't expect to feel this until the baby was bigger - is this normal?

Probably. The ligaments all stretch which can be quite painful when you cough it sneeze, particularly when lying down. Try to avoid lying in your back and it does ease soon IIRC.

I've had this too from 18 weeks onwards. GP told me it's the ligaments stretching & normal to feel a bit tender around the tummy.

Will you please get tested to make sure that you dont have a uti it obviously doesnt feel right to you or you wouldnt have posted. I dont want to scare you but there was someone on here recently at about your stage who miscarried because of this.

Thanks all. It's feeling a better after a day on the sofa/ in bed at home so I'm hoping it's just the ligaments stretching - it sounds right for what I'm feeling.
