Dull period like pain at 5 weeks

This is dc2, so I should know this stuff! Am 5 weeks and have been having dull period pain. Enough to bother me, but not sharp or bend over double pain. It is all over, rather than in one place.

I know there is stretching and stuff, but didn't think it happened this early. So obviously I am worrying.

Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

I think im 5/6 weeks and have quite a heavy dull period ache too. Sorry, no advice but in the same boat. Hope some one comes and offers some wisdom!!

Hi

I had this at 5 weeks as well, try not to worry unless you get any bleeding then contact your gp :)

Fingers crossed x

Could it be constipation? I am 5/6 weeks too and on thursday felt like this all evening (left xmas party because I was convinced it was a miscarriage) then a did a (tmi coming up) massive fart and it relieved it for a bit and then a bit later did a big poo and after that it subsided.

Congrats OP! I'm 36 weeks now and had period like pain at 4 weeks - was convinced AF was on the way but after a few days got my BFP. Unless you have severe pain or bleeding I'd say it was pretty standard. Good luck!

I had this too, on and off for a while in first couple of months. Kept mentioning it at checks but no one was at all concerned and it was all fine!
Good luck!

I had it with all three pregnancies, don't worry, it is the womb stretching and growing. Lots going on in there! Enjoy your pregnancy!

for all of week 5 and some of week 6 i had cramps like period pains but MUCH MUCH worse every so often. ones in the night would be so bad i thought i was going to throw up. saw the doc and he said it was fine as long as no bleeding. now they have eased up not really getting them (7+2) was freaking me out though.

indicababy · 17/12/2011 11:04

Had awful period type painsfrom week 5-8. had scan to rule out ectopic, spent night in hospital convinced Was going to mc. Am now 31+3 and all good so try not worry x

namechangerbat · 17/12/2011 11:36

What can we take to ease the bloating and constipation Grin

practicallyimperfect · 17/12/2011 12:12

I think I remember lactolose was alright from last time.

Thanks for reassurance.

Quite relieved to see others with this too! I feel like a massive balloon, not sore exactly, but REALLY uncomfortable. Around week 5 for me but have had really irregular periods so still waiting to find out exactly!

Same here, only can describe it as feeling like my tummy stretching thought it was to early for that glad not just me x
