Public Service Announcement re Sainsbury's non-alcoholic sparkling wine

It's really rather nice. Almost tastes as if it has alcohol in. If you are sick of sodding Appletise and looking for a festive tipple you could do a lot worse.

Two for a fiver.

As you were, unless anyone wants to throw in some good non alcohol wine recommendations!

Oooh that sounds great, will have to get some of that for next week. Thanks Xmas Grin

Beware though, non-alcoholic wine can cause a flippin' excruciating headache. It's all the bloody sugar. I actually got a 'hangover' from non-alcoholic wine.

wasabipeanut · 17/12/2011 09:51

Really Rhinestone? Yuck.I'm not sure how sugary this one is (will check). The reason I liked it is that it wasn't sickly sweet goop which was my last experience of pretend wine.

Always a bloody catch isn't there?!

I'm pretty sure it was Sainsbury's. I drank a couple of bottles precisely because it was so nice and didn't taste too sweet!

And yes, there's always a bloody catch!

It's fab but get an order in before Xmas. White and rose is ok but avoid the red.

Yummymummyyobe1 · 17/12/2011 11:49

Oh sign me up for some of that. Although the MW did say you can have a couple over the festive session hello monsiour Champers.

xx

I'd rather treat myself to one small glass of red with my Christmas lunch than drink any amount of pretend red. Bleeeuurrgghh.

Oooo sounds good to me, I've only just found out I'm pg and was worried people will start asking questions on boxing day when I'm on the schloer so fake wine sounds good!

Florin · 18/12/2011 12:16

I tried some fake red from waitrose which was foul. Friend bought me the sainsburys non alcoholic white and it was quite nice. I am going to definitely going to try the sparking now. It's nice to get some nice drinks in for Christmas as both my twin and I are pregnant so it's nice to have a nice drink to share.
