Lower abdominal pain

My Midwife told me not to worry about this (though I worry about everything) and I wondered if this is something everyone else is experiencing. I am 16+3weeks gone and have been experiencing some pain very low down in my abdomen, just above the pubic bone. It's not severe but niggles and comes and goes. I have been growing some in that area and midwife said its just the baby settling in and my muscles and ligaments stretching to accommodate for the mass. I am very slim (apart from the belly) and she reckons I may feel it more because of this. It is relieved by heat but not paracetamol. Is this normal?

I've had the same kind of niggling pains you seem to be describing on and off since about 10 weeks and have had them again today (I'm 16+4 myself). I'm not worrying about it as I'm taking the point of view that I'd know if something's wrong. I haven't taken paracetamol either, but I sometimes rub the area which gives me some relief.

Maybe do some light exercise to gently stretch your muscles which might help. And relax and enjoy being pregnant! Xmas Smile

Well I'm 21 + 2 and I had this literally from getting pregnant, pains alllll the time. Been to hospital twice because of worrying and apparantly its normal, just stretching pains, my baby is also VERY low down.(Its not moving up at all) so when he moves sometimes I also get a bit of pain, so could be that? If at all your really worried get it checked but I'm sure its nothing and the midwifes checked it for you already.
