listeriosis - worried

hello
I posted the other day to ask about a tummy bug... since then MIL has suggested to dh that it could have been listeriosis (I was sick 4 times in 12 hours and felt rough for the following 3 days but was not sick again, ds was sick twice). I know it could have been, so if it was, does anybody know if this always harms the baby???
Also, should I ask the midwife at the next appointment if I can have my blood tested for it. In any case if they do find traces of the infection in your blood (or the fact that it's been there), what can they do about it at that stage?
Thanks.

Why do you think it was listeriosis, and not an ordinary tummy bug?
I think listera illness can be mild or severe (usually severe, though), and entirely harmless or causes stillbirth. But here is a simple
description of the effects at each stage of pregnancy . Good luck. I had a tummy bug (not listeria) in pregnancy that made me throw up 12x in 24 hours, so 4x doesn't sound very excessive to me.

I just read that link I posted properly -- it doesn't even mention vomitting! Just flu-like symptoms. So now I would really think you only had a tummy bug.
