braxton hicks at 18weeks?

I am 18weeks with my first pregnancy and I think I have been getting braxton hicks...my uterus goes all hard and tight, not painful or uncomfortable, just feels strange for a few seconds.

Is this "normal" to he feeling them so soon?

pretty much anything goes in pregnancy! i had various aches, pains and cramps throughout; main thing, try not to worry about it unless its accompanied by bleeding or gets very painful rather than just a little niggle!

yeah I had them from about 20 weeks. annoyingly they are getting fewer and more far between (now 39 weeks!)
