Am 30 weeks with DC3 - had horrible MS till around 15 weeks where all I wanted to do was sleep. Up until now, I have felt tired but since 30 weeks, I haven't even got the energy to go out (my poor children!). I just want to curl up into a ball and sleep more, like in the MS days. I am also quite headachy and this baby moves SO much that it almost turns my stomach IYKWIM?

Are there any obvious remedies for this or anyone want to moan with me. Am not coping very well!

Chocolate, do you have any other symptoms than the tiredness?

The reason I ask is that late in my first pregnancy (around week 36) I started to feel terribly fatigued. I'd end up having to plan to do one thing a day - like go to the supermarket - and then I'd have to sleep for the rest of it. Nobody told me that this wasn't normal! To cut a long story short, I ended up being an emergency induction at 38 weeks due to galloping pre-eclamptic liver failure. I did have other odd symptoms too though!

I am absolutely NOT saying that this is what's happening to you - it's just that it scared me (and the medical staff, who almost missed it) so badly that I'm now evangelical about warning other MTB about the dangers of ignoring that kind of thing.

In your case, I'm sure it's much more likely to be to do with already having 2 anklebiters in tow :)

Have you had your 28w blood test results back? I was feeling so exhausted around then and I was really worried how I was going to cope for another ten weeks, but it turned out that my iron count was low. Taking iron tablets made an enormous difference within a few days.

Thanks for your kind responses.

Will keep an eye on the PE although I understand it is unlikely if I haven't had it before (same father!). However, thanks for highlighting it.

I went out this pm and got some more iron supplements - will start taking more and regularly so I can hopefully shift this tiredness.

Definitely no more children for me...this pregnancy has ensured I never want to be pregnant again!!!
