No 41 week appointment

I will be 41 weeks on Thursday. I was told by my GP that the hospital would make an appointment for me and send me a letter. I haven't received anything so presuming that this isn't the case. I've been phoning the hospital to make the appointment but they never answer! There's not even a voicemail, it just rings and rings and then cuts off. I tried a different number and they just said that there's no one there at the moment and to keep trying. This was days ago.

Hopefully I won't need it but getting a bit stressed now. I'll see if I can get a GP appointment just to get my BP checked but they won't check if I'm dilated or offer a sweep will they?

do you not have a midwife contact number?

QueenOfFlamingEverything · 13/12/2011 10:47

Can you not just ring and arrange to see your normal midwife?

I don't have a midwife contact number, only the contact numbers on my notes for the hospital and birth centre. I've only been seen by a midwife 3 times (booking in, 16 wks and 34 wks) and it was a different one each time. All my other check ups have been with the GP at my local clinic.

I got through finally anyway and made an appointment for Thursday. Hopefully something happens before then..fingers crossed!
