Just some advice really Im 21w 3 days, I have an anterior placenta and have only really every felt the baby fluttering above my cervix

I started to feel the baby at 18 weeks and it was pretty regular and fluttered like mad once it started but over the past week or so I seem to be going 2-3 days with no realy movement

Should I be worried? or is it likely the baby is moving and when I dont feel it its because the placenta is in the way? felt movement yesterday but nothing today so far

Wish I'd found you earlier hotpot. I went through a similar thing at 22wks (anterior placenta too), phoned triage thinking I was just going to be told I was being hysterical and ended up with them insisting I go in "now" and got hooked to CTG. My LO was fine just hiding...and did her customary doppler-bashing the entire time I was on the CTG (I'd gone about 16h without feeling a thing having had a lot of movements for an anterior placenta).
If at all worried, ring MW/local maternity hospital and see what they say. It's more than likely LO is just hiding, but it really isn't worth the stress of you not phoning.
I hope you managed to get some sleep, or at least phoned for advice.

I have had similar movements too and didnt realise until 22 weeks that an anterior placenta can result in less feeling!!! Anyway I felt baby from 15 weeks but not every day, even now at 25wks I will only feel him a little during the day and then at night when I lay down he goes crazy!!

I think taking time out if you can to sit/lay down and you will feel movements. Have you tried a hot/cold drink? If you are really worried though ring your MW and see what they say. Dont panic though im sure you will be fine xx

Please ring if yuo haven't yet hotpot, it really is a very long time with nothing (although everything's probably fine). It's really not worth the stress. FX for you.

I rang, and was seen straight away and the baby was fine but just hiding - typically as soon as I left the midwife the little tyke has been kicking ten shades out of me, She said that because of the anterior placenta for the next three weeks I shouldnt be too concerned if I go long periods without feeling baby but that if its stressing me they will always be happy to give me a few minutes to monitor so felt much happier once I had been thanks for your help :)
