Found out today i'm pregnant, i miscarried in August. I'm over the moon but terrified it's going to happen again. I've not even told DH i just can't as i know he will tell his entire family and i can't deal with that yet.

Been to dr today who calculated i'm 3 1/2 weeks (very early i know) but i'm querying that as my last AF was 19th of Nov making gp correct but i did a clearblue indicator after seeing her which said 3+ from conception making me 5+ weeks pg.

Really wanted to share the news as i haven't told anyone

Congratulations sleepyhead :)

I imagine the fear that you are feeling is very normal, but your news is wonderful and made me smile.

Coldcuppacoffee · 12/12/2011 21:53

Congrats. I have been there. I didn't want to tell people, even after 12 weeks but you're just cautious, which makes sense.

The fear will gradually reduce. I was a bag of nerves at 12 wk scan but really enjoyed 20 wk scan. Am 38 weeks now and can't wait to meet my little bean, although I do feel like I've been pregnant forever!

Dolliedaydream · 12/12/2011 22:29

Congrats sleepyhead. I got my bfp two weeks ago and know how you feel with those mixed emotions. I had a mmc in august a few weeks after we told the world and his wife, now I am saying nothing until (all going well) I am outed.
My dh is prone to blabbing but on this he and I are in agreement in keeping mum!
Seriously though I don't think I can relax and believe this will be a baby till I get past the stage I was in the last pregnancy and though I only did one test I am feeling really tired and sick..i was even pleased to puke yesterday hoping that's a good sign! This is my 5th pregnancy and i have 3 ds. I can't remember all the stats that I read post mc but I do remember the majority of women go on to have healthy uneventful pregnancies, wishing this for you and me both.

Beamur · 12/12/2011 22:32

Congratulations! I have a lovely 4 yr old DD following a missed m/c. It takes a while to relax as you never have that innocence about pregnancy once you've had a m/c, but I hope you have a safe, boring few months and all is well.

blondiemermaid · 12/12/2011 22:36

Congratulations Smile so nice to hear good news. I miscarried 3 weeks ago was 13 weeks and now just waiting to try again but know il be the same when i get pregnant again Smile

WishingIWasLucky · 12/12/2011 22:38

Hi sleepyhead, I found out yesterday (but needed to do another test this morning before I dared enter the pregnancy topic) that I'm pregnant again after mc too and like you I'm happy but terrified. I have 3 dds after the first I had a mc and after the third I had a mc last August, baby was due on dd2s birthday which was hard. I haven't found my way onto the August thread yet, was plucking up the courage when I saw your post and it looked a little safer if that makes sense? How are you today?

user59457812 · 13/12/2011 07:51

Congrats sleepyhead and deafworm! Lovely news for this morning.

I know exactly how you feel - had two MCs before this PG and DH and almost didn't dare talk to each other about it for months. We waited a really long time to tell people, who all understood why when we eventually came out with the news.

Heading into the third tri now and still haven't quite relaxed, but the worry does get less I promise!

All the best for a very uneventful 40 weeks!

Deafworm · 13/12/2011 08:22

Congratulations hot pink best of luck for the rest of your pg

sleepyhead1234 · 13/12/2011 09:08

Congratulations hot pink and deafworm.

Feelin absolutely shattered today even though i had 9 hrs sleep. DH decided to do us egg sandwiches for breakfast and couldn't understant why i wanted mine hard all the way through as usually i hate them like that. Feel bad for not telling him but i just can't yet.
Also feeling very sick.

How are you?

Congratulations :) It is a scary time but there are lots of us in the same position. I had 2 miscarriages before this pregnancy and I was a nervous wreck throughout the whole of the first trimester, and a bit beyond! Perhaps your last period wasn't actually a period if you have got a 3+ so soon? It could have been implantation bleeding and perhaps you are as much as six weeks or so?

The support on this thread was invaluable to me at the beginning of this pregnancy, you might like to have a look

sleepyhead1234 · 13/12/2011 10:24

That's what i'm thinking, maybe i'm further along. cause if i was only 3 1/2 weeks i wouldn't of even got symptoms let alone a positive result especially on a pound shop pg test (Have done an asda one and a clearblue too).

Thanks for the link will take a look.

Congratulations everyone who's pg! It's definitely scary - I'm 12 weeks after a m/c in August and I'm dreading my scan tomorrow. Even if it's fine I don't think I'll really relax until the baby is delivered and squalling in my arms. I was never this anxious with DS, and I thought I'd been bad enough with him!

Deafworm · 13/12/2011 16:38

Thanks for the link kat

Everything crossed for tomorrow fish, here's to an un eventful pregnancy

RubyLovesMayMay · 13/12/2011 16:55

Congrats to everyone who's pregnant Thanks

I had a m/c at 7 weeks before my DD (21 months now) and I'm pregnant again now (21 weeks) and even though I had a healthy pregnancy with her I was bricking it when I got pregnant with this one (who is a boy Smile) and kept doing pg tests every week until I had my 12 wk scan Blush (I dont recommend this btw)

DH wouldn't even say the word "baby" when I found out we were expecting DC2, I thought he'd been having 2nd thoughts or that he just wasnt interested. Turns out after me having a tearful hissyfit that he was just worried in case something bad happened again and once we had the scan, we both relaxed a bit.

I guess those feelings of anxiousness and worry will never really go away but you just have to relax as much as you can and get on the best you can. Very easy to say VERY hard to do.

Wish you all the best.
