Just thought I'd share - this is really nice and a good substitute for proper mulled wine if you don't want to drink too much of the real stuff.

Merry Christmas everyone!

Oooooh -nice. Thank you Grin I'm appletised out and it's not even mid December.

PotteringAlong · 12/12/2011 14:08

Ikea also does a nice non-alcoholic mulled wine!

sunnysunchild · 12/12/2011 14:13

Drinking loads of blue becks here :) No alcohol and tastes adult, well its not the most exciting beer in the world, but makes me feel less deprived!

BigBlueBear · 12/12/2011 14:15

When pg, I made mocktails, mulled apple juice or ginger beer, and drank M&S low alcohol bellinis.

aaahhhBump · 12/12/2011 14:50

Last year I was working new years eve and my then pregnant colleague brought in Tesco finest sparkling grape juice for the bells. It was yummy.

LackingNicknameInspiration · 12/12/2011 15:17

Coppella do a nice spiced apple juice too which is very nice warmed up.

Mum2be79 · 12/12/2011 15:23

Schloer (I think its called). Tesco were doing them for 'buy one get one free'. Never drunk it before a colleague bought it for me on 2nd Dece as a leaving present. Lovely stuff!

(Just put it in a wine glass!)

elfyrespect · 12/12/2011 15:23

Thankyou, will get some of that in, to go with the non alcoholic ginger wine.

Mikocat · 12/12/2011 15:23

I made a nice mulled wine at the weekend with a non-alcoholic Merlot from Asda mixed with orange juice and some mulling spices.

aethelfleda · 13/12/2011 11:58

Er: if you simmer the wine for 10 mins surely most of the alcohol will boil off?

alternatively: this non-alcoholic ginger wine is £3.50 a bottle from Holland and Barrett and tastes LUSH as an alternative to sherry (plus you can pour it on vanilla icecream....mmmmm....)

mistressploppy · 13/12/2011 12:17

Yeah, the problem is more the massive splashes of brandy I put in, aethel Xmas Wink

Sainsbury's do a lovely non alcoholic sparkling wine and its lurvely.

aethelfleda · 13/12/2011 12:44

My friend is nut about Waitrose non-alcoholic wine (I prefer shloer and juice myself)...

aethelfleda · 13/12/2011 12:45

And if you're a lager drinker becks' blue is 0% and tastes just like regular Becks...

mistressploppy · 13/12/2011 12:46

I've tried EVERY non-alcoholic wine in the world (sort of) and I find them all pretty grim. I must be a proper ethanol-lover

I do quite like Becks Blue, but I've been trying different beers and Waitrose do Clausthaler which I prefer

Another fan of the Bottle Green Spiced Berry cordial. After reading this thread last night I added some to my Tesco delivery that came this morn. Made a cup for a friend and I and we both loved it! Friend has now gone out to get some to give to her friends that are visiting later!

Thanks OP for going to the effort of suggesting this Xmas Smile

CointreauVersial · 13/12/2011 13:31

aethelfleda - apparently not, only a small amount of the alcohol is lost when you heat it.

Also, when you flame your pudding a lot of the alcohol in the brandy will still remain.

mistressploppy · 13/12/2011 13:34

Oh, lovely, bezzy Xmas Smile
