Pulse in tummy!

Anyone else been feeling their own pulse beating in their tummy these days?! Feel the sensation internally, but not when I put a hand there to try to feel it from the outside. I'm 15 weeks.

Kicking?

I get that when I'm lying down at night and I'm 30 weeks, I think it's to do with the amount of blood being directed to your uterus/placenta so don't worry!

I'm fairly sure it's my pulse - I've been lying here trying to see if it's in sync withy the one in my neck - think it is. Yes it's when I'm lying down so maybe that it - thanks. Weird feeling!

Yes I can, a can also see my belly just next to my belly button pulsing when I'm laying down. I'm 20+5

It's because of the placenta, I think. The last time my GP listened to the babies heartbeat, he put the doppler on my tummy, found the heartbeat and then checked my pulse on my arm at the same time to see whether it was baby or placenta.

I've been getting that feeling too.

My GP told me it was the pulse in my uterus. When doing the doppler it was easy to tell what was me and what was baby - baby's heartbeat is about twice as fast!

kiki22 · 12/12/2011 10:13

i get it too from early on

I could be very wrong but I know there is a major artery around there, so it could be that. When the midwife stuck the doppler on me she found it and said she could tell the pulse was me rather than bump as bump's pulse is much quicker. I could be wrong though Blush
