Hello,

Has anyone tried taking vitamin b supplements against nausea? I am having a terrible time with it and doc suggested it but wanted to check here first...

Thanks

There's not much evidence that B6 (or anything else) works: see the Cochrane review on morning sickness treatments at summaries.cochrane.org/CD007575/interventions-for-nausea-and-vomiting-in-early-pregnancy

That's not to say it won't work for you personally but if you don't get anywhere with it, get back down the GPs.

(I didn't take anything for morning sickness - tried ginger tea, made me worse! Sleep was the only thing that helped - and time, as it went mostly at about week 14.)

I have had morning sickness from 4 weeks. Tried ginger tea and peppermint tea, both were yuck and made me feel more sick. Tried regularly eating throughout the day to no avail. The only thing that seemed to help a bit was if I had marmite on toast for breakfast each day.

By 6 weeks though my morning sickness turned into hyperemesis so now I'm on anti-sickness tablets, been signed off work the past 2 weeks, am on isotonic drinks and minimal food. The thought of marmite now makes me feel sick!!
