anyone else due in april 2012

hiya every1 is anyone else due in april 2012 or near 21st april? and also does anyone know if scans are accurate on the conception window dates??X

Hi yes i am due April 3rd scans are as accurate as they can be i think it's difficult to be 100% but DD was 4 days late last time so can't complain, is this your first?

I'm due on the 11th April. I was using ovulation tests so am almost certain of my conception date. My 12 week scan was only a day out from what I expected. Scans in the first trimester are usually accurate within about 5 days or so. Obviously that doesn't have any bearing on when the baby actually comes though!
Scans in the second trimester are less reliable as babies increasingly grow at different rates as the pregnancy goes on (obviously, as some babies are born bigger than others). If you have only just had a scan at 20 weeks because you found out very late about the pregnancy, the due date calculated by that could be out by up to 2 weeks either way.

Im due on 24th April, exactly a week after my birthday. With my second, a boy

Im not sure about the accuracy of scans, I just assumed they went by size/development and gave you an estimated date. Usually quite close but I wouldnt bet money on it.

I did go into labour on my due date though with DD.

Rubylovesmaymay- what were your 20 week measurements? Can we compare? DH won't let me find out the sex :( and my measurements are bigger than my DDso hoping it a boy?!

Not sure about the bigger baby = boy though.

Cant remember for the life of me what DD's measurements were. And to be honest I never paid any attention to the numbers as they just said all was well, is that bad?

that your DH wouldnt let you find out the sex though.

I'm due April 23rd.

I don't know about conception dates and scans, LMP puts me at 20th April but scan puts me at 23rd. With my first pregnancy LMP put me at 20th Feb, but scan put me at 26th. The scan dates made more sense to me than LMP dates as I have a 33-35 day cycle.

I'm due on the 2nd with my first, a little boy. Really i'm due in the 5th by my dates. We used a fertility monitor so pretty sure of ovulation.

It's getting very exciting now he's moving around a lot. Time is dragging though, I'm hoping it will fly by after Christmas as I'm not keen on pregnancy at all!

Due 4th April by scan dates (well, one of the measurements on my scan dates) and 14th April by my own dates (and a different one of the scan dates)

Am aiming for 14th as went 2+ weeks overdue with DD. Makes no odds, will be refusing induction for being 'overdue' either way.

Am I the only person who didnt try and work out my own dates? I just went with what they told me at the scans, Lol! My brain would probably explode if I tried to work it out.

flisspaps what are the odds that our DC2s are due the same month?

I went into labour on my due date with DD but as it was after midnight it ended up being the 7th. Was due to have a sweep on the Monday so glad I avoided that!

Savannahrose im gutted for you, its a long time to have to wait if you want to find out. Im so impatient and have to know everything, if I can.
You should have turfed him out the room and let her tell you on your own.

stripeyZ im not right keen on pregnancy this time around. Dont think I want another. It seems so long this time around for me.

Lets hope the time speeds for us eh ladies?

I know RubylovesMayMay - both the same, although if this one is like DD I'll be risking a May birth, she was 16 days over which takes me to 30 April by my dates, and I won't be shocked to go over this time!

Yep, near you ladies too, 25 April with a girl! So excited :-) I thought the 12wk scan was accurate to the day - something like 1mm per day or something like that. Apparently all grow at the same rate up until around then. But as to when they decide come out... who knows!

Heyy I'm in april too! With my second! Due on 25th april! I went 11 days late with my first and was induced because of pre-eclampsia so I'm hoping I dnt go overdue again! I have my scan at 21 weeks on wednesday :D can't wait! Literally counting down the days ... Is that sad?

rubylovesmaymay yep, 16 days. Will be interesting to see if this one is also a lazy bugger too. DD should have been born in Feb and was actually born mid March. I've told people MY due date rather than the scan due date this time so I get 10 days grace before the ridiculously annoying and nosy "Any news?" calls start
No doubt I'll still be pregnant then anyway...

Hello, I'm due April 23rd with my first, we're going for the surprise - will be amazingly happy with either flavour as long as it's healthy and happy!
Am SO impatient, very excited to be over half way but i have a pregnancy app on my phone that tells me I have 133 days to go, which feels like a lifetime and a half away...

I'm due on April 5th. I was due April 11th but dates were brought forward at my 12 week scan.

I know that the 5th is too early as dh was in Afghanistan when I would have conceived to be due on that date. I'm sticking with the 11th. Ds1 was a long baby and we're having another boy so that may explain why the baby measured bigger than 12 weeks at my scan.

Our DS is due on April 29th he will be our first and we are very very excited. Although I am wondering now that I have handed in my Mat leave form if starting mat leave the day before is the best idea.
