I assume that as they just said come in in 12 hours if nothing happened then you are 37weeks+?

Heaviness is normal when you get to the final days/weeks of pregnancy. Is it possible that the blood was perhaps from your partner (it's happened to me before, without realising it he had a small tear and it bled) or if perhaps he scratched you in the 'warm up'?

It may have been a show - the mucus plug coming away from the cervix, that can have blood in it.

saucykellie1989 · 08/12/2011 18:41

im 39 weeks...tbh there was that much blood,my mucus plug came away wiv it..its just confusin as wen i foned hosp she sed my waters have gone and wen i went up they sed they never and they didnt know what it was??

Yea I was going to mention show...how's the babies movements? You noticed any signs of labour? It could of been your waters if they didn't test u? Did they do one of them strip tests or anything?

Flisspaps · 08/12/2011 18:42

See the only way they'd know for sure if it was your waters breaking would be to examine you - so how they'd manage to tell you that was it over the phone is beyond me!

If they're not worried, then I wouldn't be worried, as long as your baby's movements are still normal and you're not bleeding now.

saucykellie1989 · 08/12/2011 18:45

babies movements r fine...i went upto the hospital after 12 hours and she examined me..she sed she cud feel slime on the top ov my vagina which she says is the membranes :S i was confused as to how she had gloves & gel on,wudnt it b slimey?? im worried as now im unaware where tha blood cum from an to how much was there? no not bleedin now, bled for about 20 mins and stopped

She said the membranes where on top of ur vagina but ur water hadn't broke? :S I am as confused as u now.

saucykellie1989 · 08/12/2011 18:53

yeh my point..im very concerned but she aint, its not normal?

OP posts:
yummicheddars · 08/12/2011 19:04

I'm not sure. Never experienced it personally. Maybe you should request a seperate opinion from someone else. Maybe if not gone into labour go tomorrow bk n ask for ur waters to be checked?

saucykellie1989 · 08/12/2011 19:13

thats what im thinkin,im having terible heavy feelin pains in my vagina buh nowhere else...to the point i wanna cry, thats not normal is it?

Don't have direct experience of this myself, but my friend had exactly the same at 38 weeks - blood everywhere. She was absolutely fine, they said her cervix was ultra sensitive and easily irritated and it was nothing to do with starting labour. She gave birth to a healthy baby boy one week later.

saucykellie1989 · 08/12/2011 19:16

mw sed my cervix is favourable...wa the hell is tha lol??

essexmumma · 08/12/2011 19:45

Hey OP, a few days before going into labour I had a heavy bloody show however I panicked too but as I was pre term I was checked over immediately. I imagine that it was a show but you should call your community midwife if worried. Good luck!!

essexmumma · 08/12/2011 19:46

Ps-
Favourable Means good for labour!!Grin

saucykellie1989 · 08/12/2011 19:47

thanks..i shall see wha happens..x

OP posts:
Flisspaps · 08/12/2011 19:53

Favourable means it's in the process of getting ready for labour. If she could feel your membranes then that means that your cervix has started to dilate. The 'pain' in your vagina is probably pressure from the baby pushing downwards, at the moment your cervix has half a stone of baby pushing on it remember - although they could be early contractions.

It sounds like things are happening for you :)

saucykellie1989 · 08/12/2011 19:54

thanks guys,so how long untill labour starts???

OP posts:
yummicheddars · 08/12/2011 20:29
