Integrated Down's Test - where?

Hi,
I'm 15 weeks prg and have been given high risk result for Down's but only just - 1 in 247. This is based on nuchal test. Scared of amnio! Can anyone recommend a place to get the integrated test done - ie taking nuchal test results and combining with second trimester bloods to give overall probability?
Thanks.

hi, I had mine done at Queen Charlotte's in London. They have the Centre for Fetal Care, the number is 020 8383 3925. I was still less than 13+6 so they redid my scan and first blood test, I'm not sure if they'll be able to combine with your previous bloods taken at another hospital but call them and see. Good luck, I realise it's worrying being at the cut-off, although I think QCCH's is now 1:150 as high risk but check that with them.

If you search the threads I think other peeps have gone to Harley Street for private scans / tests too.

Where are you based OP? I think that the Leeds Screening Centre offers this service.

I can recommend the Fetal Medicine Centre in Harley Street (London obv) - I went there for nuchal and bloods (complicated by the fact that I'm having twins and am high risk for Patau's syndrome, and they were very knowledgeable about both) - as I understand it the bit that does the scans funds a fetal medicine charity so they are proper experts rather than the usual Harley Street outfits who're only interested in doing 4D scans of people with trouble free pregnancies. The FMC might also be able to advise you on amnio if you decide to go down that route, or else I know St Thomas' does a lot of that and sees private patients.

I'm guessing you mean taking your existing nuchal results and combining with a test done now, as I'm not sure they can repeat the nuchal scan this late?

Best of luck!

Thanks all for your advice. Mikocat I contacted Leeds and they are doing bloods for me, integrating existing nuchal with 2nd trimester bloods. Fingers crossed. x
