Ladies,
I need your advise. I am 5+1 week pregnant and had bleeding last couple of days but not too strong initially but then it got worse and pain started too. I went to see the doctor - I am not in the UK, in fact I am in a very far flung war zone - hence the name.
The doctor here did a scan and said the baby was still there but she fears that I might loss it at some time in next few week. She then gave me Dydrogesterone which I Googled before deciding to take or not.

Here is the page and as you can see it says that it is prescribed to stop miscarriages. It also says that it is not approved in the EU and US or Canada. I am not sure if I should take it. I wonder why this is not permitted in EU etc...???

Please help me decide to take it or not.

Thanks!

I had progesterone pessaries prescribed to me when I had successful IVF - the clinic said that it helped prevent miscarriage.

If I were you I'd take the Dydrogesterone, it's safe and it could help.
