This is my first pregnancy and I'm due my 20 weeks scan on the 10th but due to the postal strike I haven't got any instructions on what to do. Does anybody know what the rules are - ie. do you have to drink 1 litre of water - how long before you go in for the scan can you pee etc.

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

You don't need to drink gallons of water for the 20 week scan as babe is deleveoped enough to see properly.

Well that's what I was told with DS1,2 and 3 so hopefully I'm right.

Are you going to find out if you're having a ds or a dd?

or should that be 'developed'
fingers working faster than brain which isn't difficult!

No, you don't need a full bladder for the scan but I think you should try not to go to the loo just before the scan if you can help it. Good luck, mine is on 18/11 can't wait.
