I start my new job on Monday (my H is forces and we have just moved)
I will be almost 18 weeks pregnant !
I haven't told them about it.. I know I'm probably being unreasonable but the agencies I told kind of "thanks but no thanks" me when I mentioned it.. Figured I'd start and try and hide it until feb until the 15 weeks before thing..
Has anyone ever had experience with this.. I'm scared that if they find out before they will terminate my contract.. Least if I try wait until Feb I can in theory start my maternity claiming the maternity pay from the government (I'm aware I wouldnt get it from the new place anyway)
Starting to panic now :-/

I'd just be conscious that you will still be within your 12 week probationary period (if they do that at your new job). Probationary period basically means they can not keep you on without reason, or you can leave without reason (or "not a good fit" type reasons).

As I say, they may not do this where you will be working, but am sure someone will be along soon who knows more about this sort of stuff.

Probably suggest re-posting in Employment too, as there are some top MNers on there!
