Can anyone tell me what they are like? I'm 28+3 with DC5, so you'd think i'd know, but tbh i honestly can't remember having them muchwith DD and DS3.

All afternoon and this evening i've had tightenings and period like cramps in my lower tummy. Not very painful, but a couple of times i've gone 'Ooohhhh', iykwim? Also a bit of backache too, but not too bad - it's been a busy day and i may have done too much.

Baby been active and kicking lots today, so no worries there.

I do have a history of premature labour and birth, my boys were born at 28+4 but that was put down to the fact that they were twins and DS1 was very ill.

Any thoughts?

They don't really hurt they felt like being squeezed to be, really odd. Have you checked that you do not have a uti? I had searing pains up one side with one. Hope all ok.

Maybe give it a check. In any case if something is worrying you, it is a good idea to get it checked out.

BHs probably shouldn't hurt at your point, UTI (would explain the backache and lower abdo pain as well) can cause BHs to be painful, as can constipation...so it might be back. Best get it checked out by a MW.
If it is an infection, and you're BHs are in any way regular (even 20mins apart) or are making you stop what you're doing when they're happening, call MW this evening, they might want to check you over, but call them and at least record the fact, rather than potentially doing a me...
and waiting until they got so bad I was in fact having contractions and needed an ambulance trip into hospital, steriods, in delivery for 12h and then needed 5 days in hospital whilt they got the infection down and the contractions back to being irregular BHs...
FX for you!
