I've had this since 5 weeks pg, now 22 weeks :( I was admitted to hospital last week because of it, but they sent me home without reaching any diagnosis.

You can take paracetamol, and I was told you can take cocodamol if you need something stronger.

I've now been given codeine to take when they're really bad, but I had to see an obstetrician to get permission for that. Talk to your midwives and they'll give you painkiller advice.

Sympathy though, it's really tough!

hi!
I had exactly the same!
My headaches were really bad too! Drinking LOTS of water can help alot but to be honest for me that wasnt the problem! I think it must have been just the pregnancy!
Im 22 weeks now and luckily my headaches have eased off (TOUCH WOOD) lol!
I also bought 'Forehead' ... which is basically vicks for your head lol! So if you have a stuffy nose it can help too hehe!
I must admit tho it wasnt the best cure but i wont take tablets ... even when i wasnt pregnant i would only have one annadin if my headache was bad so now im not alowed anadins i just grin and bare it lol!

I really hope you start to feel better soon and if you are really worried go to the docs =)!

Good luck! xxx

Sad it's horrible hey, I had them on and off between 14-17 weeks but constant during week 16. Thankfully now at 19 weeks they have totally gone. My midwife said it's normal and hormonal - they only start to worry if your blood pressure is high as well mainly in the 3rd trimester. Drinking 3x your usual water intake will also help, otherwise i think it's just s case of putting up with it Sad

So pleased to see this today. Have had a headache for 3 days now and it's there even when I'm lying awake in bed at 3am! I'm 13+3 today so that seems to fit in with the rest of you. Thank you!
