disappearing morning sickness - 6 weeks

I am around 6 weeks pregnant, and even before I found out I was pregnant, I was having nausea at odd times of the day, including around 4 o'clock in the morning. I did a pregnancy test last wednesday which was positive, but over the last 2-3 days have felt very little nausea, just the occassion wave. I haven't had any cramping, and no blood/brown discharge, only the (hopefully) normally yellow discharge (sorry for TMI!).
I am wondering if this can be normal, as I had heard that if MS is bad, the pregnancy is progressing well. I have never had sore boobs so far, and otherwise feel quite well in mysel
Can this be normal?

I got my BFP last month and the nausea had already started exactly as you describe. It has then continued the same way, some days worse than others until last week when it stepped up and I feel much worse.

I am 9+4. I would say, going by my current experience, that its perfectly normal. (This is DC3 for me)

Congrats btw Xmas Smile

Thank you for that. Driving to work, I did get a wave of nausea, and now has passed. It is such a new experience for me, being my 1st pregnancy, every little change I see as being worrying..

I know what you mean Lulubelle - this morning I was making sandwiches for DH and felt sick for the first time in about 4 days, which was strangely reassuring! (currently 9 weeks with first pregnancy) I think everything will make me worry, hopefully only until the scan and then maybe I'll relax a bit!

congratulations btw!!

I didn't have MS at all - DD is now 6 weeks old and snoozing in my arms Smile try not to worry - easier said than done, I know!

my pregnancy symptoms only really kicked in from 6 weeks onwards.
Would say that my sil never had a day of nausea or vomiting with her 4 pregnancies. lucky thing

I am seeing my gp for my first appointment tomorrow. Thanks for all the messages. I think the scan will be reasurring once it happens.

I thought I was experiencing MS from around day of conception. How wrong was I when not so far from 6wks it really kicked in. Even when it was at its worst it was variable at different times of day and on different days. I freaked as I didn't feel sick one day only to feel ten times worse the next. It's totally normal to have fluctuating symptoms and waves of nausea rather than all the time.

lots of totally healthy pregnancies do not involve MS. I had severe nausea but no vomiting for the first 14 weeks last time. This time I had the same + some vomiting from about weeks 6-10. It seems to be settling down now.
