It's going around my daughters preschool, should I keep her away? I am 34 weeks pregnant. Mentioned it to MW who wasn't very helpful, just said there might be a risk (as with all things) to baby.

It went round my daughters class .. I am also 34 weeks pregnant!! I ha a mad attack of worry as it is so contagious but I was told it is very rare for adults to catch it, and there is little to no risk at all to babies.

This was te info I got, thankfully dd didnt get it.

Hi, im a nurse and I got banned from my office the other weeke because a colleagues little girl had it, I thought that was an over reaction so I spoke with my mid wife who tells me that it is something that mainly kids get, adults only usually catch HFM if they are immuno comprimised, if your pregnant there is no risk to the baby apart from if you have it when your actually in labour the baby might catch it and be unwell for a few days - if you have a look on the NHS web site it has quite a bit of info, HTH :)
