Hello All,

I just found out that I'm pregnant (yesterday) all very scary especially as I just lost my job! I'm worried that the stress will be bad for the baby.

Any tips on relaxing?

Thanks,

Megan

Congratulations on the pregnancy Smile

You'll find that making yourself relax is nigh on impossible - the harder you try, the less relaxed you get!

Focus on sorting the practicalities with money - temp work or getting benefits applied for if you're entitled. Once that's sorted you'll probably find it easier to chill.

And then the normal pregnancy worries will probably kick in Wink

Congratulations :)
Were you the only wage earner? If so then you might be eligible for healthy start vouchers and surestart maternity grant. Perhaps look into meditation if you are really struggling to relax :)

Sadly I don't think I will be entitled to anything as my BF earns a decent amount (that said our rent etc is quite high).

Will pop along to the job centre and see what they say!
