Blurred vision

I've had blurred vision twice in the last ten days. Each time it has lasted for about ten minutes. I'm not aware of any obvious triggers. On each occasion it has happened when I've been relaxing at home so I'm pretty sure I'm not getting the blurry vision because of stress or doing too much. I'm 26 weeks and my blood pressure is normal (120/70 according to the blood pressure monitor we have in the house). I'm not due to see the midwife until the new year as my 28 week appointment was due to take place the week before Christmas and there weren't any appointments available until January. Is the blurry vision just one of those pregnancy things that is pretty common or should I try and get an appointment sooner?

i would definitely get that checked sooner rather than later - like asap. it is probably nothing but you would rather know that, than discover it is something serious. i had blurred vision last time and i had pre-eclampsia, so am definitely wary of stuff like that

What was your BP at your booking appt? If its up from that be wary. My BP was similar to yours when I had my first eclamptic seizure, I just started off lower iyswim.

The booking in BP was 120/80 but since then the readings that the midwife has taken have all been lower and the last few have all been about 90 or 100/60.

If it happens again ask for specific preeclanpsia bloods to be done just to be on safe side. Testing liver and kidney functionality and platelet count. PR can be very tricky, I showed no true warning signs except headaches with visual blurring and swelling until after seizures hit.Not wanting to panic you, but do be aware, do your own research into PE. Has anyone in your family had it before, are there any autoimmune problems in family, all risk factors. Take care.

My MW said that anything like headaches blurred vision, I should ring them straight away.
