Sounds like spd - there's various support threads on here and if you google it you'll find lots of info.

I'm 17.5wks with dc2 and suffering too, had it with dc1 but not til 24 wks. I find sitting on a gym ball instead of sofa/chair helps as does physio and antenatal pilates. It is horrid though.

The mw won't be able to do much though certainly mention it at next check up but if you see your gp they may be able to refer you for physio.

yes, I agree that sounds exactly like SPD! the downside is it may continue to get worse throughout the pregnancy, and so don't try to walk through the pain. Go to
www.pelvicpartnership.org.uk/
and look through all their stuff, maybe ring them (they will ring you back and are very nice), and get your midwife/GP to refer you to a physio asap. If they say there's a long waiting list, see if you can afford to see a private osteopath who knows about SPD (pelvic partnership can recommend them around the UK). Lots of threads about SPD on mumsnet. Good luck!

Yep, whatever you do, don't try to grin and bear it! I am now at 36 weeks and decided to try and just get on with it...right now could cry the pain is so bad and pain killers are not even lookin at it! Speak to MW and get physio. :)
