Bleeding after sex...

Okay, so maybe not bleeding exactly, more like pinky water.

I'm 14 weeks, this is the first time we've had sex since finding out we were expecting, wanted to get our dating scan out of the way.

I went to the toilet afterwards and had some light pinky water when I wiped. I've read that this can be normal, but the books also say to phone the midwife at the first sign of any bleeding. Should I? I feel a bit silly considering it's probably nothing.

xx

Tell your Mw- has happened to me both times (have a dd1 who is 2 and dd2 who is 5 months Smile)
The Mw told me to try to do it more gently and not rough (though at the time my dd1 and dp were in the room so it was quite Grin as she had to say it in code so dd didn't twig!

You've probably irratated your cervix slightly, different positions do this more than others, try a position with less depth Xmas Wink

I would just give your midwife a ring but it should settle down.

I know previously sex used to start me off and so my poor dh rarely gets it in the 9 months! Blush

I phoned, but they aren't back in the office until Monday, so I just left a message. It's stopped now, it was literally just as I wiped.

Thanks for the advice xx
