So I'm currently 15 weeks and have zero energy. I'm constantly tired and wondered if anyone has found ways to overcome this? It's not that I don't want to, I really do but can't seem to make it happen. I just want to curl up on the sofa with a good book.

I'm only 9 weeks and feeling the same, but was hoping it would magically disappear in 2nd trimester. Oh dear...! Sorry I can't help :-(

Have you had your iron levels checked to make sure there isn't a reason you are so tired? Low iron levels and having to take iron supplements are common in pregnancy and low iron levels can make you feel very tired.

Forcing yourself to go outside for a wander in fresh air does help.

It will pass, I have phases of feeling absolutely knackered and it lasts for a few weeks at a time then moves on to another pregnancy symptom.

Also treat yourself to a few extra rests, first pregnancy is the only time you can really do that whenever you want. I am pregnant with my 4th and DH sent me to bed last Sat avo as I was shattered (was 36 weeks) I slept for 2 hours and the difference in how I felt was amazing : )

Thanks for the responses. I haven't had my iron levels checked recently. Will give midwife a call I think.

I seem to hit the middle of the day and a wave of exhaustion comes over me. Even if I manage to fit in a nap I'm tucked up in bed by 9pm.

Here's hoping it passes soon Smile

I have found chocolate also helps for that afternoon lull in energy : )
