Had an early scan, then gone back for the 12 weeks scan and due sate had changed???

Just a question really! When i had dd1, i had a scan at 6 weeks , then when i went at 12 weeks id been moved forward by 2 weeks!
Just wanted to know if anyone else had had that happened to them!

they say 2 wks either side of period date anyway

ds3 perios date 24th dec..scan date 24th dec born 24th dec!!!
Never expected that to happen!!!

dd1 was 2 weeks early, dd2&ds came on due date!

pinky this happened with me when having ds, my dates were right and the early scan at 9wks showed 7wk old fetus but then scan at 12wks showed 14wk fetus. He still came 15 days late by induction but was definetly late as his skin had dried out etc.

my others werent so accurate.
DS1 6 days late dd 6days late ds2 16days late Ds 3 on time Ds4 11 days early!!!

with dd1 I had period date of 13th august, scan date of 13th, born 13th june, 9 weeks early according to period and scan, but the doctors thought she was actually 8 weeks early because she looked well.

Yes - early scan date was 5 August. 12 week scan date was 31 July. Ds was born on 1 August and "looked" overcooked - long nails, flaky skin etc, so I suspect he was actually due even earlier than they thought.

ooops sorry I didn't have an early scan, the first date was according to my LMP - renders my previous post irrelevant I think!

Oooh this is interesting!By LMP i should be 9 weeks but i had a early scan and they said i wasn't as far as i thought, By their calculations i am only 7 + 3...I have my dating scan on 1st Feb and will be interesting to see what due date i get.

I never knew this could happen.

had early scan with ds1 which gave a very specific date, but then at 12 week scan they changed it by about a week (cant rmember which way tho, soz!) then he came out at 38 weeks, so who knows what was right?

ds2 didnt have early scan as was in denial at being pg at all (i was only 3 months post partum when i got up the duff again) so by the time we went for scan, we thought it was about 12/13 weeks and the scanner bloke (?) said it was actually 17 weeks. and then he came out at 41 weeks, so maybe he was wrong afterall.

TBH i dont think any of it is as exact as they like to think, these doctors with their years of training and high tech toys - which is why they say anything from 37 to 42 weeks is normal! they havnt a blinkin clue when its due!
