Evening everyone, I know I am probably worrying for no reason just have a horrible feeling:(

I got my bfp on Tuesday so about 5 weeks, all week have been having period like pains, which I have put down to stretching ligaments, had the odd painful twinge on the left side and then today the most horrible pain in my shoulder blades right across the middle which has got worse throughout the day.

I spoke to my gp today to let them know I was pg and to get referred to the mw, and mentioned the pains to her and she advised that I should go in cause she wants to feel my tummy so I have an appointment for 3.10 tomorrow.

I know with ectopic you get shoulder pain, but can anyone tell me what sort of pain? Do you think I have anything to worry about, really nervous and desperately don't want anything to go wrong:(

Do you swim? I had something like you describe and it was swimmers shoulder. Google it!

The ectopic pain is very much described as "shoulder tip" pain. Having had early bleeding, I asked, and they said it was literally on top of the shoulder, near the nobbly bit where your socket is...
...if they were worried about extopic you should have been seen today, and scanned you.

Have a look at the NHS site for ectopic and see if anything else fits. If it does, I would suggest going to A&E asap.

However, if you feel any worse at all (sickness, dizziness, increased pain, blurred vision, an increased heartrate, temperature/sweating), go to A&E immediatly as they will scan you asap.

FX for you

Thankyou ladies, no im not a swimmer so it can't be that. Have googled the shoulder pain and it's definately not in the shoulder tip, and tbh the gp did say she wasn't worried about the shoulder pain, I
wondering whether I've slept funny and it's muscular Hmm or I did read about a similar pain for trapped wind! I think I'm probably worrying myself for nothing.

Will see what gp says tomoz x

:)
