to much fluid on babies neck at booking scan, very confused and scared

head all over the place so sorry if i ramble.

had 13 week scan today and the fluid is measuring 4.7 when it should be 3 or below (just what i was told means nothing to me)

going back in tomorrow for them to take some fluid from placenta to test if there are any chromosone abnormalities.

am i doing the right thing? i know it carries a 2% risk of mc compared to the 1% rick of a amnio at 16 weeks but i cant wait :(

had downs, edwards, and some other chromosone syndrome mentioned to me. also that there could be "structural" abnormalities with the baby.

dont know what to think :(
