I have had the worst week ever so far, grandfather been told his cancer has returned and they most likely can't operate due to dementia so likely to be radiotherapy to prolong his life. My sister has depression and has been a nightmare to deal with screaming at people including her 4yr old and saying she can't cope with life. Finally got some good news baby has finally turned round from breech cheered me up until she mentioned i have too much sugar in my urine and now have to be tested for gestational diabetes...

With 3 weeks to xmas and 8 til baby comes plus all this i'm starting to feel the pressure anyone got any ideas for stress relief?

Book yourself into a cheap hotel and chill out for a while.

Other than that, you can't take on everyone's problems. You have to start thinking of yourself. It's awful that your grandfather has to start radiotherapy but on the plus side, his life will be extended so that he'll be able to see your baby.
Similarly with your sister, she needs to ask for help beyond the family and all you can do is to encourage her to get that help. Ultimately she is a grown adult and has to take responsibility for her own life. You are there for her, always supporting her, but you have your own family who also need you.

Gestational diabetes is very common so don't worry too much. There is only 8 weeks until your baby arrives so make an extra effort to increase your fruit, veg and fibre intake and tell everyone that you are planning a quite Christmas, just you and your partner, before the baby comes.
