As the title says really. I am guessing it doesn't really matter after then as the spinal column is formed but just thought I'd ask (as have about 15 tabs left and am 12 weeks tomorrow!)

I cant remember what part of the body it is but my midwife told me that research has been done and it helps something else after 12 weeks!!

The only downside is it can make you feel sick but i've had no sickness at all during my pregnancy so i've carried on becuase my folic acid is in with a multi vitamin so i'm getting other stuff to, not sure if i'd pay a tennor a box or anything but they're NHS ones which are 91p for 8 weeks worths at a health centre near where i live so i thought why not!! I'm 21 weeks today and still popping them pills lol

Thanks for replying, that was really helpful. I am taking Pregnacare as well as my folic acid is the super strong one which I have to get on prescription. I thought it was just the spinal column but that's clearly not the case. Maybe get some lower dose one;s instead though.

Will get Googling...
