Should we be getting free prescriptions from the beginning of pregnancy or do you have to wait till a certain week? I paid for anti sickness meds last week without thinking. Will probably be prescribed more tomorrow. Do I just tick a box? Thanks.

You should recieve free prescriptions from the start of your pregnancy and until your baby is one year old. You should have been given a form from your midwife which you send off to the NHS and they'll send back an exemption certificate.

In regards to tomorrow, I'd just say your exemption card is in the post! I did this at the dentist the other week and they were fine about it ...

If you haven't got a form you should be able to get one from your doctors surgery too.

Thanks, I'd forgotten about the exemption card. Wasn't given anything by my midwife though.
