I've been having sweeps since last monday, 4 so far and another booked in for tomorrow. (due to ds being late/ induced/ emcs)
Anyway, last week i lost a lot of bloody show, which all seemed to stop over the wkend (i guessed there was none left) had a bit more after sweep yesterday (all brownish blood in amoungst mucus - sorry tmi) but this afternoon i seem to have started beeding fresh/ bright red blood and its not in amoungst mucus, just blood on its own. there's not much about covered the area of two 50p pieces in my knickers over the last two hours.
What do you think? Is this normal? Just what happens after all the mucus plug has gone?
Experiences please x
NB - never had a natural start to labour so no idea what to expect??

You need to go to hospital right now imo.

ScrummyYummyMummy · 29/11/2011 17:38

I agree. I'd contact midwife / go to hospital for advice.

FurryFox · 29/11/2011 17:38

Hi again blushing! Def double check with MW and get checked out if you're worried though I would hazard a guess that it's nothing to worry about as u said that your recent bleed wasn't a lot. A bloody show isn't always with mucus and can be all shades of red/pink/brown in my experience. Also, cervical mucus/mucus plug has the ability to regenerate and it's quite normal to be losing over several weeks as I did. If u have no other symptoms, like a temperature, I would say it's just a little cervical loss but I'm no pro so pls go for advice if u worried. Sounds like your baby's not keen to come before due date! Hmm

Crosshair · 29/11/2011 18:18

ring the hospital.

JarethTheGoblinKing · 29/11/2011 18:21

Yep, ring the delivery suite

JarethTheGoblinKing · 29/11/2011 23:01

You ok?

blushingbaby · 30/11/2011 09:08

hi, spoke to mw last night who asked about movement etc. (which was fine) so she said to keep an eye on it as i had my app this morning. Mw this morning said that it was probably just down to all the poking about they've been doing.
Thanks x
