Had to go to hospital yesterday for the Glucoses Tolerance Test as I had a dodgy glucose blood result last week. I was told the results would be back at 10 this morning the latest, possibly even yesterday afternoon and that they would phone me if they came back as positive for GD. They also said, since they didn't know when they would get around to calling, I could call to check my result as obviously it's a very worrying time.
Well, I just called. Firstly, the midwife was rude, saying "You don't need to phone. We'll phone if there's a problem." And then she said they didn't have any results yet. They would be there maybe in the late afternoon, maybe tomorrow.
I'm really upset and angry. It's not some standard blood-type test or something. This whole thing has been stressing me out no end and now I'm still none the wiser. I feel let down. Rant over!
