basically im 37 weeks a week before xmas. consultant mentioned about inducing me at 38 or 39 weeks but that will be either xmas day or new years day. So my quesion is do you think the hospital is likely to induce me before xmas or after? Do i actually have any say in when im induced?

TIA

Hiya - I was booked in for an induction at 38 weeks but ended up having to have a c-section because DS wouldn't engage and was floating around like he was in zero gravity :o

I suspect they won't want to give you an induction at 37 weeks as they will probably think that's a little early. Can you go for one between Xmas and new year so that at least you can get Xmas out of the way?

thanks for the message CP. I probably will end up having it between xmas and new year. just feel so uncomfortable, want it done asap!

When I was booking to be induced with ds (overdue) they gave me the choice of the 23rd/24th (can't remember which now) and the 28th dec. I chose the latter as didn't fancy being in hospital over xmas if I could help it. Turned out I didn't need it but that's the choices I got!
