This is my second baby, so I should probably know, but I've never had this before! I'm 39+2 and I've been getting the occasional stabbing pain in my cervix over the past few weeks. Fine. This evening however, I have hadone which made me shout out in shock/pain. It hurt so much that I thought I would either a) find that the Hulk had punched his way out through my vagina and I would have a big green hand waving out of it, or b) that I would stand up and find my waters/blood gushing from myself.
The baby has been 3/5 engaged apparently for 2 weeks (but don't get me started on my midwife - am taking everything with a pinch of salt.
First labour was awful - long, failure to progress, epidural, induction drugs after 30 hours of contractions going nowhere, waters broken for me and forceps so really I feel like I'm still going into this blind. But seriously, ouch, what the hell was it? It still feels like it's throbbing now.
