Period AWOL, neg test.

I may well be in the wrong place, I'm sorry if I am, just wasn't sure where else to post!

My period is two weeks late, and I've been having all the early signs I had with my first pregnancy... But big negative test.
I've seen my gp today, she said just to test again in two weeks, but I just feel in limbo.

To be honest, I'm not even sure what I'm asking, but you ladies were a massive support during my pregnancy before, I suppose I'm just hoping someone has had a similar experience?

I don't know. I'm waffling now aren't I?

Maybe another brand of test :) I have an addiction too tests and did like 20 a day.

The sensible person in me said wait a few days etc etc
But I would say (what I did) literally I held my pee in all night refused to do out till morning and use a midstream sample and test again.

I'll try and calm down until the morning, blardy AF stressing me out even when she's not here!

I'm going through the exact same thing right now. My period is 15 days late when it has always been like clockwork and I've had a lot of symptoms - sore breasts, nausea, peeing loads, back pain etc...but I've had so many bfns! I'm going to the doctor on Wednesday, in the hope of having a blood test done but I wouldn't be surprised if they told me what they've told you.

I don't know what I'm saying here either, just that I know how you feel and it's very frustrating! I'm a bit nervous about going to my GP just in case this is all in my head...OH and i weren't TTC but now that it might be happening its all I can think about and I really, really want it to happen :/ Might try one more test on Wednesday morning and see what that says.

Maybe ask for a blood test? To check your hormone levels? I know of some people who couldn't get a positive with urine tests for a while. I didn't get one til 5 weeks. But a blood is more sensitive. Good luck! Hope ur joining us shortly :D

Yummi- I think I'd be about 6 weeks if I was, and there was not even a faint line. I didn't realise quite how much I wanted it to be positive until it wasn't! Thanks for the suggestion though, I'll give it a go if the home tests still hate me tomorrow morning

Keeping my fingers crossed for you too! Woke up early today which is rather rare for me so I thought I'd do a HPT (first pee of the day and all) but I think it's negative. Which is a shame as when I first did it I thought I saw a second line but it turned out to be pee I'm clearly not very good at this peeing on a stick business!

So I'm still none the wiser :(

I'm sorry to hear you're still neg, just done one myself and still getting one measly little line, it's like it's mocking me.
If it wasn't for the symptoms, I'd just give up and accept the bfn, but I just FEEL pregnant

I didn't get a positive until 6 weeks pregnant and had 2 negatives just a couple of days before. I also felt that I was pregnant even though people were advising me I wasn't because of the neg tests. Just leave it a couple more days and do another.

I did a test when I was two weeks late and the just left it as BF and periods a bit dodgy sometimes anyway - went away on holiday and tested again when I got back and it was positive - the amount of weeks I was did not correlate at all with my last period or anything and now 20 weeks pregnant.

This is my 5th baby and all the others I have had a bfp immediately, even before my period was late in the case of the last two so who knows?

Hi Lotte I'm worried I'll keep getting my hopes up and be completely crushed if I get a definitive no, but I just want to know one way or the other, stupid HPTs!

Congrats Pinky! I think I'll just wait another couple of weeks and try again, I'll find something else to pee on in the meantime I'm sure

Having a small panic now-
Just discussing with DH my last period, and in my infinite stress wisdom, I've missed a whole month out of my calculations, I'm 6 weeks late
Now I'm freaking out that I have done kind of deadly google-fueled disease. Is ridiculous paranoia a pregnancy symptom?!

Ooh I was just wondering how you were getting on, scentednappyhag. You should go back to your GP ASAP. How are you feeling? It's not uncommon for negative tests even when you're more than 6 weeks or so I've gathered from my many many many hours sulking around Google...

I didn't manage to go and see my doctor as they were completely fully booked. I'm too busy to go now until next week, when I'll be closer to the date of my next period and I may as well just wait and see if it shows up. But I still feel awful and very odd.

My boobs hurt so damn much, I've never known anything like it. And my newest annoyance is that I've been having serious bum ache - like I've been sitting on a hard seat for hours. Stole DP's über comfy office chair earlier and still felt the same, no idea what's going on there ...

You sound very much up the duff to me, hoping you get the result you're looking for!
So far I'm still feeling nauseated, achey legs, strange pulled muscly feeling in lower abdo and back, spottier than I was as a teenager and watery discharge- I've never felt more attractive in my life
