Hi Katy

Unfortunately I don't think there is a miracle cure - sorry! I had them before pregnancy and adjusted my diet to help. Basically you need to make your stools as easy to pass as possible, so less sugar (which is hard as I love cakey things, lol), lots of water, brown rice, pasta, branflakes for breakfast and I've recently started eating dried apricots and they are helping too.

If you have never had them before pregnancy I think the most common cause is just all of the extra blood you are carrying, plus the extra weight from your bump putting pressure on your bottom.

Hope they go away quickly! x

Keep going with the Anusol. I got them after the birth and it took a while to take effect.

I have always had ickle ones from other pregnancies, but this one ha come back with vengeance lol

I will keep up with the cream. I looked it up on the Internet and the large ones (Like mine) can take 7-10 days to get better.

Get some scheriproct on prescription, it's got local anaesthetic in it, m/w ordered it for me over the phone at our GP's surgery, after having DS2 I swear he came out of my bottom - lol - the piles hurt far more than the episiotomy!
