Don't think I can cope for another 12 weeks!

Sorry in advance, just wanted a moan!
I'm 28 weeks now and just in so much pain I'm not sure I can cope. I have bruises all along my ribs on the right hand side from where my baby kicks so hard. if its like this now surely its only going to get worse as he gets bigger and stronger? I just don't know what to do anymore, I can't sleep and nothing helps. All the midwife says is ' looks like you have a footballer in there' really not helpful! Any ideas on anything I can do or anything that will help?

Not helpful midwife really. Have you got actual visible bruises? I am assuming you have been checked out. Sounds odd to me
Does anything soothe him? I used to find my DS settled if I went for a walk or lay a certain way in bed! As he gets bigger you should find he has less room to move so more of a wriggle than a booting.
Hope you feel better soon.

Thanks for the reply wolfie. The bruising is slightly visible but I think that's because I started using arnica gel to help and its brought the bruises out. but its mostly internal. I got worried about the amount of pain as it didn't happen in my last pregnancy, so went to see the midwife (not my usual midwife) and she confirmed that's where his feet were and it's his kicking causing it. it helps a little when I'm walking, but as soon as I stop the pain is back, I know movement is reassuring, but this is just ridiculous! he just seems to like kicking in the same place. I hope it eases in the next few weeks as the lack of sleep is making me more irritable than usual, and my poor DD is bearing the brunt of it, lost count of how many times a day I have to apologise to her for snapping!
Got an appointment with my midwife on Thurs, perhaps she will be more helpful? Xx

Hope she does help. This sounds hellish! Footballer in the making?
