Maternity yoga trousers

Anyone know where you can get maternity yoga trousers from? I've found some on the Mothercare website which look like they might do, but Next, Jojo, nothing?

I'm sure I'm missing some obvious places but can't think where they are!

Any suggestions?

The Mothercare ones look ok, but I thought they might have a tie waist? Is there a reason they wouldn't have? I'm sort of between sizes and worry if I get a 16 they might be too big and I'll just be hoiking them up all the time?

They have them in the red herring range in debenhams, they are the most comfy trousers ever!

Dorothy Perkins do them in a few colours. My absolute fave pair are Isabella Oliver - just so much higher quality fabric with great give and they hang beautifully

Biscuitsandtea · 23/11/2011 07:32

Thanks for the suggestions Smile

ciwi I can't seem to find any on the debenhams website? Have you bought them recently?

sazzer - I had a quick peek at IO but the only joggers they had looked quite narrow around the calf (not my most flattering asset Blush) - I'd prefer some with looser bottoms, and not sure I could justify £60 for this in any event Confused. DP had some black and navy ones so might have a look at those Smile

I'm interested in finding out about maternity yoga wear. Do you pick a size that fits you now? Or something that might fit you further along?

I am just wearing tight fitting jogging pants now, because I usually go running after yoga class. But I've joined an antenatal yoga class that starts next week. I'll ask what other expectant mothers are wearing and report back!

Dorothy Perkins do amazing ones, I have them in navy, black and charcoal. They are so comfy for sitting round the house in too....

sazzermol · 24/11/2011 05:11

these

Biscuitsandtea · 24/11/2011 07:14

Ah thanks sazzermoi Smile

DueInJuly - I'm assuming, as with other maternity wear you buy the size you wear now and it's supposed to stretch to accommodate your bump.

I just got the palazzo pants from Babes with Babies which are lovely.

And, yes, you buy your 'normal' size and meant to stretch.

lynlynnicebutdim · 24/11/2011 08:33

oh i do love those trousers. i actually shed a tear when i folded them away with the rest of my materinity clothes last year. They were the most comfortable trousers i had ever worn.

I will have to fetch them down from the loft now. Bliss.

PlinkertyPlonk · 24/11/2011 09:23

I've been looking too, as my pre-preggers joggers will be indecent by next week. I hadn't seen the IO ones (now wish I hadn't because they look gorgeous!!!), but found some others:

La Redoute

Mamas and Papas and also here

Sazzermol - how does Isabella Oliver sizing come up? Do they tend to be on the generous side or a bit tight? I would like to order some things from them but have been put off as I don't want to pay a fortune in returns postage.

stinkingbishop · 24/11/2011 09:43

The one problem I've found with IO is they're sized for Elle McPherson. I am 5'4" so perfectly averagey, but the leggings had a good 6 inches spare at the bottom.

Yayah81 · 24/11/2011 09:53

These were my favourites - www.wellicious.com/maternity/wellicious-satin-pants-caviar-black/flypage_new.tpl.html

They are really flattering and comfortable.

sazzermol · 24/11/2011 21:56

Well i'm 5'5 and the IO trews are fine - the stretch in them is fab for hoiking higher/lower as desired. Sizing wise ditto, i just got my normal size and have had no ishoos Smile

flywiththeeagles · 26/11/2011 23:08

try www.globalmaternity.com. I got some from there and there is 15% off at the moment. xx

deviladvocate · 26/11/2011 23:16

I used the roll top white company yoga trousers, not maternity wear but a really deep waistband with the top rolled up fully, completely covered my bump and really comfy. They ping back once washed and so can be worn post-natally (although i'd worn mine for ages by then so treated myself to a couple of new pairs, oh the glamour!)

I have some non maternity tracksuit bottoms which are really spacious and stretchy, I'm 21 weeks now and expect they'll last me until at least 30 weeks, maybe even all the way to 40. Some women in my pregnancy yoga class wear maternity leggings, seems like a good idea to me because you can wear them for more things than just yoga.

aethelfleda · 27/11/2011 19:41

I've got Dorothy perkins mat leggings (v comfy though a little thin fabric), and MODA mothercare yoga pants (v comfyand thicker but try in store as I needed a size DOWN from normal, the correct size ones fell down!)

And Tu from Sainsburys do some great budget yoga pants: non preg but £6 a pair, buy one or two sizes up and they just keep going!!!

Also a friend gave me Next Jogger bottoms (maternity) and they are Fab and most importantly black!!
