When does nausea/ sickness become something more than 'just normal'?

I'm 8 weeks and have been continually nauseous for 4 weeks, with vomiting most days in the last week (often several times). The nausea doesn't abate throughout the day. The only time I feel at all okay is if I wake in the middle of the night. I can only just manage to care for my toddler. Don't know how I'll go to work this week (part time- and unpaid sick leave!)I've lost a stone in 4 weeks.

How do you make people understand that nausea is so debilitating? How do you stop yourself killing anyone who mentions ginger biscuits??

talk to your gp. If its that debilitating they can give you a cyclizine injection to help. Google Hyperemesis Gravidarum for info about severe sickness in pregnancy.
