Deep Fried Goats Cheese

Hello lovelies,

Just wondered if anybody knew if the deep frying would kill the bacteria that is harmful in goats cheese? I'm 26 weeks pregnant and I'm meeting a friend for lunch tomorrow, I've just checked out the menu and want this!

I believe pasturised goat cheese is fine anyway. But deepfrying should keep you safe (well maybe not your arteries ) just in case lol

I'll check if its pasteurised, I know its that lovely soft one...deep fried with bread crumbs and served with mixed salad leaves, chilli jam and loads of brown bread and butter, you could go to war on it!

I was looking into cooked cheeses the other day after finding out im pregnant with baby no2 and apparently even if mold ripened cheese is pasteurized you should still avoid it but it is ok if the cheese is really well cooked not just warm and mealed in the center so I'm sure if it is deep fried you will be fine.

I'm really wanting some of that cheese you talk about nom nom nom

I believe it's fine as long as its cooked

Well I had it and it was just delicious! Pasteurised, deep fried delicousness :) lovely mango,chilli and avocado with it. I'll be having it more often now I know its safe! ....and the bread it was served with, still warm pumpkin bread with lots of salty butter....oh the calories

I'm soooooo jealous. That's pretty much all my cravings in one go!

Yes and I'm in such a good mood today Jambalaya its all down to that food!
