Showing early with pregnancy number two?

hi am feeling a bit upset, am 10 weeks pregnant ( actually with baby number 4 as lost two babies previously,) and have been to family event today. I've just seen picture on facebook and seeb pictures and I look really pregnant. Not told anyone our news because of two previous losses, not even the in-laws, and am pretty devestated how fat and pregnant I look, even though I've lost a stone due to morning sickness, my tummy just sticks out and I can't keep it in. I'm not sure why I'm so upset, but could really cry my eyes out, I suppose I'm worried someone will put some like congratulations on facebook under the picture and also that probably everyone has guessed that was at the event today :-( did anyone else show this early in subsequent pregnancies?

Oh you poor love!
Clearly the hormones, and I've often been surprised to see how unobservant people can be, even to something you think is blindingly obvious.

I was showing at 10 weeks with DC 2. I assumed just because your uterus is pre-stretched, I'd not done any tummy-muscle exercises etc etc. In fact, I'm having twins (so in fact, DC 2&3). I was also very very sick, and it skews everything. I'm 18+3 now, and still feeling sick and hormonal and irrational

Do your family &/or friends know about your previous losses? I think if they do then they wouldn't be so insensitive as to comment on fb without being told. I'm sure you're not looking fat, though possibly you are looking pg!! How old is your DC? Pregnancy is such a stressful time, and having had losses makes it so much more so.. I have only had one early loss, at 5 weeks, before I had my (now 14 month ) dd so I may not be the best person to speak too, but I am finding pg a stressful and emotional time again

Just keep on plodding through each day, muttering this too shall pass and soon I shall bloom etc etc (as I still am)

Hope you feel better about thing soon, and the rest of your pregnancy goes smoothly.

After Ds1 and a MMC my belly was not completely back to normal. I saw it, but no one else did and in fact didn't for many weeks after, but you are hyperaware and it's understandable.

Anyone insensitive enough post on the pics ( obv having not seen the pics, it's hard to judge, but prob not obvious if you're not looking ) should get a Chinese burn.

I gave birth in June and is 9 weeks pg with baby2 now. I didn't show at least until 16-18weeks last time when it just rounded up all of the sudden but this time I am very round already. Also puzzled, but I am not upset, if this isn't the time when you can be curvy and happy, when can you??

Congratulations btw! Grin
