Baby Brain

So, I'm 7 weeks pg tomorrow and I've been doing some properly stupid random things. For example, taking the wrong turning off the dual carriageway, trying to cook without olive oil, putting the wrong rubbish in the recycling bin (my pet hate!) Oh, and locking the cat in the house and swanning off to work . I'm hoping you all have similar stories to make me feel better! On a serious note though, is it even possible for me to have 'baby brain' this early??

Hope so! I'm 7+3 and put kitchen roll in the fridge the other day!

Brilliant glad it's not just me!

I've done loads of stoopid things throughout my pregnancy, obviously baby brain forgets me remembering them all but 1 that springs to mind is putting the box of bran flakes away in the fridge door, my fave :)

In the first few weeks I felt like I couldn't speak a coherent sentence and was forever getting my words muddled up. Looked really stupid at work on a daily basis. It was like I wasn't in my own body n I was watching myself thinking 'what on earth r u saying?' but I put that down to hormones/tiredness/hunger n nausea

I keep calling pigeons, Penguins

Sometimes I just stare blankly at things. Have lost count to how many times I have opened and closed the fridge door because I keep on forgetting why I went there in the first place.

I just spent ages making my Christmas cake, and put it in the oven, only to be told by DH half an hour later that the cake was burning. I was a bit as it was meant to be cooking for 3 hours or so on a low heat. Turns out I wasn't baking it, but grilling it

Oh dear.

Not so much in the early stages but in the last few weeks I've put the electric kettle on the gas ring and the pizza cardboard boxes in the oven! Haha... Not good I'm 40+1
